Even now they fail to communicate with the fan base. This is the main reason attendances have dropped so sharply ( last time in the championship we averaged c20k) the antipathy towards them keeps many fans away. Bournemouth? Rovers were one of the best supported teams in the country based on geographical catchment until relegation. I can't say that their place is in the Premier League, even as a former winner. Even when they were in the Premier League, the support was tepid compared to other clubs.
