I think) simply by using the site ebundesanzeiger.de. It´s the electronic version of the Bundesanzeiger (BA). German companies are required by law to publish their accounts on a regular basis in the BA and it´s no different for professional football clubs.

It´s out there for everyone to see and I´m kinda surprised that very few journalists seem to use this kind of information.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-487486960623783530.post-9585757877088449712011-05-06T01:11:39.593+02:002011-05-06T01:11:39.593+02:00Great article, kudos on a job well done!Great article, kudos on a job well done!FAOhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13589542375254941196noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-487486960623783530.post-27536888362625956522011-05-04T09:36:28.417+02:002011-05-04T09:36:28.417+02:00@Anonymous (12:18),

As I said in that paragraph, "Of course, these figures are all at least 12 months out of date, so the position may well be different this season." My expectation is that the wages will be higher, as will the turnover.

I would agree with you that a 72% ratio is nothing to write home about, but it's more a function of the low revenue outside the Premier League than anything else. Very few clubs in the Championship have a good balance between wages and turnover, which is a function of their need to compete in the desire to achieve promotion. I think Norwich have managed that better than most. The Swiss Ramblerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11423088862174893998noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-487486960623783530.post-89154834494252907152011-05-03T13:10:08.547+02:002011-05-03T13:10:08.547+02:00Great piece, pulling together many strands.

But aren't your figures taken from the 2009/10 season that City spent in the THIRD tier?

And as the club's debt recently had to be renegotiated, is a turnover-wages ratio of 72% that impressive?

In any case, much of this is moot as Promotion has been achieved, and Sky will be sending 90 millions to Carrow Road over the next four seasons. What will be interesting to me is how much of this goes into a) the wage-bill and b) debt repayment.

OTBC!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-487486960623783530.post-75192237855443604172011-05-03T12:18:25.732+02:002011-05-03T12:18:25.732+02:00Dear Mr Rambler (or may I call you Swiss?),

I've always had a soft spot for Norwich and I'm looking forward to seeing them again in the top division (it will be amusing trying to tell the fans apart when they play Man Utd!).

It's interesting, and kind of obvious I think, that "sugar-daddies" ("sugar-mummy" in the case of Norwich) have always been prevalent at all levels of football. I seem to remember an article by you on Stoke's reliance on heavy spending way above it's rivals to get out of the championship a few years ago.

As an aside, do you have (or know of) a guide to which premiership teams are subsidised by their owners, and to what extent? Perhaps a league table of indebtedness?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-487486960623783530.post-6609127426174520282011-05-03T10:22:24.318+02:002011-05-03T10:22:24.318+02:00@sydneygooner,
